Will Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Get A Venom Spin-Off Game?

It sounds like pure fan service, but the creators of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 might consider a spin-off game featuring anti hero Venom if the players demand it.

The highly acclaimed game is released today on PS5, with critics claiming it’s the best super hero game ever made. If fans react the same way, there could be room for a spin-off game featuring Venom.

“We're focused on Spider-Man 2, and what we're gonna do is we're gonna wait to see how the fans react," senior narrative director Jon Paquette told Insider. "We're gonna listen to the fans and we're gonna ask ourselves, 'Okay, what do the fans really want?'

Paquette said he’s been a fan of Venom since the black suit first appeared in Secret Wars, so was keen to apply Venom lore into the game, but only where it made sense.

"There's such a rich universe there, and there's a lot that the comics have done. We tried to take all that in, and then forget about it, and think about what would be best for our characters and our franchise."
