New Marvel Comics: Gang War Kicks Off This Week

Marvel’s Gang War storyline kicks off this week in Marvel’s new releases, with both Spider-Man and Luke Cage pulled into the beginnings of the crossover event.

The Gang War storyline pits crooks such as Tombstone against other gangs, while villains including Hobgoblin, Mr Negative and Owl try to take advantage of the underworld eruption.

Following the First Strike books this week, in Decmeber it goes up a notch as Spider-Man gathers buddies like Daredevil, She-Hulk and Spider-Woman to help clean up the streets. Oh,and Luke Cage is mayor of New York now, so let’s see how that turns out.

In other new relleases, Howard the Duck celebrates 50 years and Spider-Woman comes back from the dead. And Nightcrawler’s true origins are explored in X-Men Blue, alongside his mother, Mystique.
