Marvel’s been on a roll lately with its superhero games, with Spider-Man 2 being one of the best games of the year and Marvel Snap taking the world by storm. There’s a Wolverine game in development too, but now we’re seeing something brand-new: a Blade game.

Arkane Lyon, the developer behind Deathloop and Dishonored, officially announced a new game in development featuring the legendary vampire hunter Blade from Marvel Comics. We got a brief trailer (with some stylized graphics that look quite nice) showing the vampire hunter suiting up when things start to go down.

That’s about it, though. We don’t see any gameplay, or anything along those lines. Just a very brief teaser. Look for yourself.

And here’s the official description for the game:

In Marvel’s Blade, Eric Brooks is the legendary Daywalker, half-man, half-vampire torn between the warm society of the living and the rushing power of the undead. From Bethesda and Arkane Lyon, the studio that brought you Dishonored and “DEATHLOOP”, Marvel’s Blade is a mature, single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris, now in development in collaboration with Marvel Games.

Sounds good! Studio head Dinga Bakaba said that the game was to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Blade’s first appearance in the comics, which was in 1973’s The Tomb of Dracule #10. The character was later spun out to his own comic book series, had movies, and has become one of the more popular characters in the Marvel universe.

No platforms were listed in the trailer, but given it’s Arkane, a subsidiary of Bethesda and thus a part of Microsoft, we imagine it’ll be exclusive to Xbox Series X|S and PC. We also don’t have a release date, but expect it’ll be a few years off.
