Marshmello to headline MLS All-Star Concert at Nationwide Arena on July 21
The pulsing beats of EDM − electronic dance music − are to fill Nationwide Arena on July 21, when genre-blending artists-producers Marshmello and PinkPantheress headline the 2024 MLS All-Star Concert presented by Target.
Tickets start at $35 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday at ticketmaster.com. Proceeds benefit Neighborhood Athletics, a Columbus nonprofit organization that helps to provide athletic and educational opportunities to youth in underserved communities.
The MLS All-Star Concert is the kickoff event for the week leading up to the MLS All-Star Game on July 24 at Lower.com Field, home of reigning 2023 MLS Cup champs, the Columbus Crew.
Marshmello first drew worldwide attention in 2015 by publishing remixes online. Born Christopher Comstock, his alternatively spelled stage name and trademark mascot head were inspired by EDM producer Deadmau5, who performs wearing a mouse mascot head.

Though many may not recognize him by name or sight, Marshmello's collaborations with many artists are familiar, such as his team up with Bastille on the No. 2 hit "Happier" in 2018. Other partnerships include Sting, Pink, Kane Brown, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Halsey, the Jonas Brothers and others.
In addition to an impressive number of awards, he has amassed over 16.8 billion streams and his YouTube channel, which also features gaming and cooking videos, has nearly 57 million subscribers.
Co-headliner PinkPantheress − the British-born Victoria Walker − initially began writing music in high school to help a friend before creating her own songs using GarageBand while attending the University of the Arts in London.
After several TikTok snippets of her songs went viral, she was signed to Parlophone, then to Elektra Records.
Many labels have been used to describe PinkPantheress' music − among them, pop, dance, alt-girl rap, hyperpop and jungle, a form of EDM that grew out of the U.K. rave scene.
The artist herself describes her sound as alt-pop and "a form of drum-and-bass that's acceptable to listen to at home," and said she writes sadder, dark lyrics that tell stories to appeal to younger listeners and to contrast with her happy instrumentals.
