Marshawn Lynch Has Blunt Assessment On Aaron Rodgers Situation
After months of speculation, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has ended his holdout. That doesn’t mean all his issues with the organization have been taken care of though.
On Wednesday, Rodgers spoke to the media about all the offseason rumors and his relationship with the Packers moving forward. He confirmed that he would like to have more input on personnel decisions, telling reporters “I just expressed my desire to be involved in conversations directly affecting my job.”
The Packers actually went out of their way this week to acquire Randall Cobb in a trade that should appease Rodgers.
Although it seems like Rodgers won the standoff with Green Bay, former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch has a different take on this situation.
When asked who won the standoff between Rodgers and the Packers, Lynch said “If they don’t win a Super Bowl, then they both lost.”

This might seem like a harsh assessment from Lynch, but he later explained why he feels this way.
“I’m saying that because the whole point of playing the game is to win a Super Bowl,” Lynch said on ESPN’s First Take.
Anything less than a Super Bowl would be extremely disappointing for Rodgers and the Packers. They’ve reached the NFC Championship Game in back-to-back seasons, but they were unable to come out on top in either matchup.
