Mark Wahlberg is in the tequila game now. See him sling drinks behind the bar in Miami

For Mark Wahlberg, Friday night was all right for drinking in the 305. Saturday night, too.

The “Uncharted” star was in town to introduce locals to his new tequila, Flecha Azul, first popping by Papi Steak in Miami Beach.

The 51-year-old rapper turned actor was in such good spirits (literally) that he even got behind the bar at David Grutman and David “Papi” Einhorn’s hot spot Papi Steak, which famously serves a $1,000 cut of beef.

The next evening, more of the same. Hashtag: #werk. Wahlberg hit up The Fontainebleau’s Bleau Bar to sling cocktails, mingle with guests and take selfies.

The Bostonian turned Nevada resident told Forbes why he wanted to get into the tequila game, like such other high-wattage celebs as Eva Longoria, George Clooney and The Rock.

Wahlberg said he had a personal connection with the Mexican founders, PGA golfer Abraham Ancer and entrepreneur Aron Marquez.

“We became friendly right away,” says the father of four who first linked up with the men in 2019. “We have so many things in common: we’re family-oriented people; self-made guys, and I was really loving what they were doing [with the brand].”

It doesn’t hurt that tequila is Wahlberg’s fave adult beverage, and likes to drink the good stuff.

“I was seeing how many people were having great success in the industry that didn’t really have this same pedigree when it came to creating tequila,” said the “Boogie Nights” star. “I realized pretty quickly that they were creating a superior product—an authentic product.”
