Mark Hamill Celebrates 45th Wedding Anniversary With Sweet Throwback Photos

Mark Hamill and his wife, Marilou, are celebrating a major marriage milestone this year.

On Dec. 17, 2023, the Star Wars star took to Instagram to mark the 45th anniversary of their wedding, sharing a carousel full of sweet photos from over the years, starting with a professional snap of the two on the red carpet at the 2017 LACMA Art + Film Gala, where Mark Bradford and George Lucas were honored.

Next up was a photo of the two with their three children, Nathan Elias, Griffin Tobias, and Chelsea Elizabeth, when the latter was just a toddler, followed by a much more recent family snap with the kids all standing tall in front of a step and repeat for Town & Gown of USC, a nonprofit that contributes to scholarships, building and campus enhancements, and cultural programs of which the family is a donor.

The final snap found a much younger couple standing shoulder to shoulder, and possibly hand in hand, smiling brightly at something off to the side.

"On this day in 1978, Marilou Hamill said 'I do' & I am eternally grateful. 🙏," he wrote alongside the sweet set of photos, adding the hashtag, "#LoveOfMyLife ❤️."

It's said the two met in the mid-'70s, when he visited the dental office she worked at just before the cult favorite film series launched Hamill to stardom. She's no longer employed as a dental hygienist, instead working as the CFO of his companies, Amazing Invisible Inc. and Hamjamill Inc., and sitting on the board of directors at USC.
