Mariska Hargitay Returns Taylor Swift's Favor With the Name of Her New Cat

Taylor Swift's good karma is coming straight back to her.

The pop singer has long been open about her adoration for Law and Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay, so much so that she even named one of her cat's after the actress' iconic character, Olivia Benson.

And now, Hargitay is returning the favor.

On Thursday, Nov. 30, Hargitay introduced her social media followers to the newest member of her family, a cat who she named after Swift's hit song "Karma" off the Midnights album.

"Karma is a Cat," the actress captioned her Instagram post, referencing the lyrics to the pop anthem. "@taylorswift Meet Karma. My Cat.🐱" she added, while sharing some photos of her new furry friend.

Hargitay also included a series of witty hashtags, all centered around Swift's lyrics, including "#MeAndKarmaVibeLikeThat" "#AndIKeepMySideOfMyPawClean" and "#KarmaIsACat."

"So Taylor named her cat Olivia Benson and now Mariska names her cat Karma. I LIVE FOR THIS FRIENDSHIP," one fan gushed under the post, while another was already proposing a meet-up for the stars' respective cats.

"Play date for Olivia Benson & Karma when? 🐈 We NEED it! 🙌🏼," they wrote.

"MARISKA this is amazing we are screaming," another comment read.

Even the Instagram account for NBC's Law & Order was giddy over Hargitay's post, taking to the comments to write, "no we're obsessed."

Hargitay, a bona fide Swiftie at this point, also notably appeared in Swift's "Bad Blood" music video, along with Grey's Anatomy actress Ellen Pompeo, another one of the singer's muses when it comes to cat naming. (The "Anti-Hero" songstress named another one of her cats after Pompeo's character Meredith Grey.)

Now all we need is for Pompeo to name a cat "Midnight Rain" or "Mastermind" and everything will have come full circle.
