Marion video wins Houston International Film Festival award
The 57th annual Houston International Film Festival recently honored The Industrial Channel with the Silver "REMI" Award for "Marion Career EXPO 2023" in the category Recruiting/Career Guidance.
There were 30 entries. Duplicate awards were given to the students from Tri-Rivers Career Center's Interactive Media who were behind the camera as well as on-camera reporters. The students only had three, one-hour orientation sessions to prepare for the shoot.
Tri-Rivers students Kassidy DeSouza, Sophia Harvey, Brady Keller, Kaleb Miller and Cailea Williams served as reporters and grips for the video.
Also instrumental in the project were Terry Cline (producer/director), Frank Gibson (producer), Kevin Evanoski (drone pilot) and Andrew Carter (news anchor).
The video can be seen on YouTube.com. TV-39 in Marion will broadcast it at a future date.
Tv-39 will broadcast the award winning “Marion Career EXPO 2023” at 8 p.m. Friday. There will be another broadcast date to be announced later.
The Industrial Channel, an informational and promotional website, is the result of a partnership between Marion-based media production company Challenge Productions and the North Central Ohio Region Industry Manufacturers Workforce Alliance aka Manufacturing Career Connections.
