Marigold Market in Winterville opens for new season Saturday at Pittard Park

The Marigold Market in Winterville opens for the new season Saturday at Pittard Park, featuring products from homegrown produce to flowers and baked pies.

“I feel like we have a good mix,” said Sherrie Anderson, who manages the farmers market, which opened in 2020 as an online market, then last year for its first in-person market.

The market is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The market will offer its line of goods until Dec. 17, when it will host a special holiday sale.

“Last year, we did a holiday extravaganza on the last Saturday before Christmas and it was a big hit because we catered to the last-minute shoppers,” Anderson said.

“We have 15 farmers right now that have signed up. We’ll see what happens, but I’m excited about it,” Anderson said.
