Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas' is investors' favorite holiday song: Deutsche Bank

Investors may be jamming out to Mariah Carey this holiday season while trying to figure out how to trade red-hot inflation data and looming policy changes at the Federal Reserve.

At least that is the first blush takeaway from a new survey out of investment bank Deutsche Bank.

In a fresh poll of its clients, 750 respondents told Deutsche Bank's Jim Reid that Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" was their favorite Christmas song. The song, according to Reid's research, climbed from third place in 2019 among the bank's clients who were surveyed.

Market strategist Reid says the the answers for best Christmas song were among the most "contentious" of those questions seeking answers.

Not far behind in Reid's survey (findings below) was "Last Christmas" by Wham! (second place) and "Fairytale of New York" by the Pogues and Kirsty MacColl.

Bringing up the rear in the survey is another holiday classic in "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas," sung by various artists throughout the years.

Mariah Carey's Christmas classic was recorded in 1994. It's yawning popularity the past 15 years has reportedly landed Carey major money via royalty payments. Celebrity Net Worth estimates Carey pulls in $600,000 to $1 million in December every year, as the song is played seemingly around the clock.
