‘Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special’ headed to Apple TV+ with Tiffany Haddish, Ariana Grande and more

Mariah Carey is back to ring in the holidays.

The Long Island native is headed to Apple TV+ with her “Magical Christmas Special,” a holiday spectacle dropping Dec. 4 with celebrity guests and all the cheer you could ask for.

“Faced with a holiday cheer crisis, the North Pole knows there’s only one person who can save the day: Santa’s great friend, Mariah Carey,” the streaming service announced Wednesday.

“Combining musical performances, dynamic dancing and groundbreaking animation, the undisputed Queen of Christmas jumps into action to create a holiday spectacular to make the whole world merry.”

Since releasing the ubiquitous tune “All I Want For Christmas Is You” in August of 1994, Carey, 50, has been associated with the holiday season every year, and not even 2020 can stop that.

The “Magical Christmas Special” lineup includes Tiffany Haddish, Billy Eichner, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Misty Copeland and Mykal-Michelle Harris. Carey’s 9-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, will also make “extra special appearances.”

A companion soundtrack will be released the same day including Snoop and Dupri, as well as a new version of “Sleigh Ride” from Carey. The soundtrack single and new music video for “Oh Santa!,” co-written by and featuring Carey performing with Grande and Hudson, will be available on Dec. 4 as well.

Carey will reveal her personal playlist of holiday songs on Dec. 7 and, on Christmas Day, appear on Apple’s radio station for a six-hour “Holiday Hits” special.
