Margot Robbie Once Again Embraces Barbie Pink on Rare Date Night With Husband Tom Ackerley
Margot Robbie was pretty in pink when she stepped out for a date night with husband Tom Ackerley on Tuesday in New York City.
The movie star, who once again teamed up with stylist Andrew Mukamal, looked radiant in a bubblegum-pink set from Versace. The set featured a cropped zip-up jacket with a V neckline and structured sleeves, as well as a matching pleated miniskirt. She upped the ante with the rest of her hot-pink accessories, including a pair of sparkling slingback pumps with a towering stiletto heel and a small sequined bag with a chain top handle.
Tom looked suave next to his wife in a cream turtleneck sweater, a long black coat, navy blue trousers, and black leather dress shoes.
Months after the release of Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster Barbie, star Margot is clearly still taking style cues from the iconic doll.
The day before her rare date night with Tom, she attended the 33rd annual Gotham Awards in a glamorous black Prada evening gown inspired by the dress worn by the 1964 Black Magic Ensemble Barbie. The strapless black satin midi dress was layered underneath a transparent organza cape with black satin trim and a collar that tied off into a bow. Margot topped off the look with black leather gloves, black peep-toe heeled sandals by Manolo Blahnik, large pearl stud Assael earrings, and a geometric Prada clutch in a gold metallic sheen.
“We’re finding Barbie references from decades past and just doing it really for the big Barbie fans out there, people who are actually collecting those Barbies,” the actor told People. “We’re hoping to get them excited. We’re pairing Barbie references with great designers.”
