March Madness schedule today: TV channels, scores for Friday's NCAA Women's Tournament first round games

Following First Four games on Wednesday and Thursday, the women's college basketball bracket is officially set. Friday features a full slate of madness, and some of the sport's biggest stars will be in action.

One player who noticeably will be MIA Friday is South Carolina's Kamilla Cardoso, who was suspended for fighting in South Carolina's win over LSU to win the SEC. Though Cardoso is not playing, Dawn Staley's unit is penciled in as a favorite for the tournament this year after an undefeated regular season.

Also in action is the surprisingly 3-seeded LSU, which will take on 14 seed Rice at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge.

North Carolina and Michigan State will face off as the No. 8 seed and No. 9 seed, respectively, in Columbia, and Alabama and Florida State will face off in another 8-9 showdown.

March Madness schedule today

The day on Friday begins with a familiar matchup, as Michigan State and North Carolina tip off the action for the Field of 64 from Columbia, South Carolina. From there, it will be wall-to-wall action until Nebraska vs. Texas A&M wraps up from Corvallis.
