How many Louisville football players were picked in 2024 NFL Draft? See every selection

Although Jamari Thrash doesn’t play for Louisville football anymore, he was still present throughout the Cardinals’ spring practices.

The Georgia State transfer and Louisville’s leading receiver in 2023 was like an extra coach for the squad. He also provided current players with insight on the NFL combine and process leading to the NFL draft.

“He was able to come in here and tell them what it's like to be at the combine and the questions that he gets asked,” U of L wide receivers coach Garrick McGee said of Thrash. “And he was able to say that some of those questions, man, I really did learn in this room. The way this offense is set up, the certain formations that we run are the same exact terms that these NFL guys were looking for.”

Thrash and other Cardinals hope to hear their name called during the 2024 NFL Draft, which began Thursday and concludes Saturday. U of L has now had at least one player selected in nine of the last 11 drafts. Last year’s draft picks included defensive lineman Yaya Diaby (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), linebacker Yasir Abdullah (Jacksonville Jaguars) and Kei’Trel Clark (Arizona Cardinals). The squad’s highest-drafted player in the last 10 years was offensive lineman Mekhi Becton, who went 11th overall to the New York Jets in 2020.
