How Many Emmys Did 'The Last of Us' Win?

How many 75th Primetime Emmy Awards did The Last of Us win? Eight (although all of its awards were collected at the Creative Arts Emmys on Jan. 7).

Nominated for its first season, the show went into the evening with 24 nominations (second only to Succession), including nods for acting, outstanding directing and best drama.

The postponed 2023 ceremony was honoring only programming that aired between June 1, 2022 and May 31, 2023. The larger-than-usual gap between eligibility dates and the ceremony's air date is the result of the dual writers' and actors' strikes that shut down Hollywood for a collective five months. (The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards were initially scheduled to take place on Sept. 18, 2023.)

Unlike some nominated shows (see: The Bear and The Crown), The Last of Us hasn't gone on to air additional seasons beyond the one that's nominated—and video games aren't eligible!—so there wasn't the same confusion around which of its seasons was nominated.
