Mansfield Legacy 3-star power forward Isaiah Manning signed his national letter of intent with the TCU men’s basketball program during national signing day on Wednesday.

Manning is ranked No. 19 among 2023s in the state, according to 247Sports. He also had offers from Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, SMU, Arizona State and Alabama, among others.

“Already felt like home even before I’ve gotten there. Very familiar with the coaching staff, they’ve been recruiting me for three years,” Manning said. “Family is tight, my dad is up there a lot and on top of that, they were looking for a player like me, so it was an easy decision for me.

“Coach Dixon was the first coach to give me a call. He believed in me when no one else didn’t. The coaches have faith in my abilities and all the guys on the team, I love what I see. A lot of them are from DFW so I’ve played against them. They have great energy.”

Manning was among the team’s leading scorers last season and helped the Broncos to a 24-9 record and trip to the Class 5A regional quarterfinals.

Legacy is ranked No. 14 in the TABC preseason 6A poll after moving up a class to District 11-6A.
