Manitowoc road construction leads to bus route changes and temporary bus stops. Here's what to know.

MANITOWOC – A pair of Maritime Metro Transit bus routes have changed as a result of road construction projects.

The first is Route 3 – Franklin Street. As a result of reconstruction on Franklin Street, as the bus on this route heads west on Franklin, it will turn north onto South 21st Street, then west onto Clark Street, and then south onto South 26th Street.

A temporary bus stop is on the west side of South 26th Street just north of the railroad tracks by Franklin Street.

Construction is expected to be completed by Aug. 25.

The second is Route 6B. As a result of reconstruction on North Rapids Road, transit route 6B will be detoured starting June 3. As the bus heads north on North Rapids Road, it will turn east on Waldo Boulevard, then north onto Fleetwood Drive, then west onto Wildwood Drive before turning north onto Kellner Street.

A temporary bus stop will be placed on the north side of Wildwood Drive just east of Kellner Street.

Construction is expected to be finished by Aug. 16.
