The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a man who died after a shooting early Sunday at a club in north Fort Worth.

Officers found the victim, 29-year-old Arnulfo Mauricio Jr., with a gunshot wound to his chest when they arrived at El Gallito Copeton Night Club in the 3200 block of North Main Street, north of the Stockyards, around 5:45 a.m. Sunday, according to police and the medical examiner. Mauricio was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital, where he died.

Detectives at the scene learned that there was an argument that led to a fight inside the bar, according to police. The people who were fighting were being led outside the building when one person pulled a gun and fired.

The shooter fled the scene, possibly with others who were involved, heading in an unknown direction.

Police have not released any suspect descriptions or announced any arrests.
