Man shot at Castle Pines Trailer Park in Augusta

A man is in the hospital after a shooting Friday afternoon at the Castle Pines Trailer Park in Augusta.

Just before 12:30 p.m., the Richmond County Sheriff's Office responded to Castle Pines Trailer Park on Mike Padgett Highway for a shooting with one victim, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

When deputies arrived, they found a man who was shot at least once, according to the release. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

As of 2 p.m., investigators were on scene.

"No further information will be released at this time," according to the sheriff's office.
