A man driving donuts near a busy intersection ended up causing a multiple-vehicle crash while trying to flee from police Friday night, according to Fresno Police.

Officers were approaching a silver Infinity that was making the donuts near Blackstone and Bullard avenues when it took off northbound at a high-rated speed, Lt. Leslie Williams said.

Fresno Police said officers backed off from chasing after the Infinity but eventually noticed the fleeing vehicle involved in a three-car collision.

The Infinity driver was arrested for reckless driving.

Two other people in the vehicle were treated at the scene.

A woman in a different vehicle, meanwhile, ended up getting pinned inside. But she somehow got out of her vehicle without suffering serious injury, Williams said.

The driver of the third vehicle involved in the crash was treated and released, as well.
