Man killed, 7-year-old boy injured in shooting at Florida youth football game

A shooting at a youth football game in Jacksonville Sunday night left a man dead and a 7-year-old boy injured, with the gunman still on the run.

A masked shooter, wearing a gray hoodie, pulled up to Arlington Athletic Association field next to the local elementary school around 6 p.m., got out of his SUV and fired into the crowd, according to News 4.

A motive is unclear, but police said it appears to be a targeted shooting.

The relationship between the two victims is also unknown, but may be father and son, according to News 4.

Both were hospitalized, where the adult was pronounced dead.

The young boy suffered non-life threatening injuries.
