Man found dead at Santa Clara, G steets. Homicide team investigating

Fresno police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found near Santa Clara and G streets Monday afternoon.

A spokesman said the victim was found on a sidewalk with injuries to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene, not far from Poverello House, which provides help to Fresno’s homeless population.

The department’s homicide unit is leading the investigation.
