Man fatally shot on N. Flag Chapel Road in Jackson. Victim identified

Jackson police are investigating a Tuesday homicide that left one person dead.

According to a Jackson Police Department press release, the incident occurred in the 300 block of N. Flag Chapel Road.

The news release said detectives learned that the victim, Shavarion Ross, was shot at that location. Ross was pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said.

No additional details have been provided.

This is an ongoing investigation, according to police.
