A man has been seriously injured following a road crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Friday evening.

Police were called to the Clarkston Toll roundabout in Glasgow around 17:20.

The 86-year-old male pedestrian was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in "critical" condition.

A 54-year-old man driving a Mercedes GLE was uninjured and police closed the road for several hours to allow for investigations.
