Man in his 20s dies in early morning accident on Kellogg, Wichita police say

A man in his 20s driving a Buick died early Friday in an accident on Kellogg near Oliver, Wichita police Lt. Aaron Moses said.

The man died at the scene. The accident was reported at 12:08 a.m. in the 3900 block of East Kellogg.

“We believe speed to be a factor,” Moses said in an email just before 11 a.m., adding the man hadn’t been positively identified. “Investigators are still working to determine exactly what led up to the collision.”

A 911 caller said that the driver hit the wall along the highway, according to Sedgwick County Emergency Communications scanner traffic.
