For cat owners, there are no lengths to what they wouldn't through for their fur-babies. Every obstacle is a chance to find a way to make them happy. Like one woman, who saw that her Maine Coon Cat kept looking wistfully outside and decided to take action.

Chas is a dedicated pet owner. So much so that they decided to build something special for her cat.

Chas noticed that her Maine Coon Cat was staring out the window every single day. Awww, poor thing.

"He doesn't know it's not safe out there," she explained in the onscreen caption. "Sometimes he even paws at the window. He wants to go outside so bad."

So the cat mama took it into her own hands to make that dream come true. She made him a catio! That's a cat-safe patio that is completely enclosed and filled with cat-safe furniture and toys. He even has a super tall scratching post! How cool!

"He deserves the world," she wrote.

The comments section was so impressed by Chas' labor of love. "That’s the most perfect catio," wrote one person. "Now everything the light touches is his kingdom!!!" someone else joked. "Why am I crying over a catio?" a third person added. "He looked so happy with the wind rustling his beautiful mane," teased one commenter.

Why Build a Catio

If you're like Chas, you might also want to build your cat their very own outdoor space. If you're handy it could be a lot of fun. Catios can both be converted outdoor spaces or even free-standing structures. Some catios are even external boxes attached to windows.

There are lots of reasons why you might want to make your cat their own space. First, it gives your cat a safe way to explore the outdoors. No more worrying if they'll get lost or run away from home. It also keeps them away from predators, poisonous plants, and cars, which is important too.

Additionally, it keeps prey safe from your kitties too. It's hard to think about your cats attacking an innocent bird, but it does happen. A catio can protect everyone in this scenario.

But one of the best reasons to make your cat a catio is the fact that it gives them freedom. Cats love to wander and need plenty of space to roam. Building a space allows them to travel both in and out of the house with ease.

A catio is the perfect project for the warm weather. BRB, we think it's time for a Home Depot trip.
