MAFS expert John Aitken "can't wait" as he teases new spin-off
Married at First Sight Australia star John Aiken has shared his excitement at joining an all-new spin-off show.
The relationship expert will be dishing out his advice in Married at First Sight New Zealand, which is set to relaunch this year. The series will see eight New Zealand participants paired up by John and his fellow experts in a bid to find the perfect love match.
In a new interview with 9Entertainment, John said that he "can't wait" for audiences to see the show.

"It's different, it's fresh and I can't wait to share it – certainly with people from New Zealand, but also across Australasia," he said. "I was really excited to be approached to be a part of it.
"I've got 11 seasons of being an expert on the Australian version," he continues, with John having been a part of MAFS Australia since it's inception in 2015.
"So I was able to apply a lot of what I've learned along the way and put it into practice over here. It was a good challenge for me."

John also revealed the special connection he has to New Zealand, with his wife Kelly descending from the country.
"I spent a lot of my time growing up there as well, so I had a good familiarity with the culture and relationship dynamics there," he adds.
As with the hit Australian series, John teased that "you never know what you're going to get" with the couples taking part in the experiment.
"You're watching people really take the masks off, reveal themselves and the question is – can they make a deep connection and fall in love in a small space of time?"
Married at First Sight New Zealand will air on channel 9Now in Australia later this year. It's currently unknown if the New Zealand edition will premiere in the UK.
