Married at First Sight Australia spoilers follow.

Tonight's Married at First Sight Australia saw new groom Ridge Barredo's unique catchphrase receive a lukewarm reception.

Wednesday's (March 20) episode saw the final couple of the series, Jade Pywell and Ridge, walk down the aisle. However, it was Ridge's constant use of his catchphrase "Dece" that stood out... and not in a good way.

Prior to the ceremony, Ridge introduced his two closest friends and their phrase "Dece" (slang for "decent"), which became an unlikely focal point during the couple's vows and reception.

Ridge's constant use of the word saw raised eyebrows among Jade's family and fellow MAFS couples, with fellow groom Jayden Eynaud seen looking bemused at his jokes during the couple's reception.

Viewers at home were also left raising their eyebrows at "Dece," with one person writing on X: "He did not just rally his boys to say 'Dece' at his wedding."

"No Ridge Deece will not become a thing," another added.

Fortunately for the couple, they were able to share a tender moment after Jade revealed she was a single mum to a seven-year-old daughter, with Ridge telling his new bride that he had grown-up watching his dad treat his half-sister like his own.

"I've always seen myself being a dad," he later told the camera.

Elsewhere on the episode, Cassandra and Tristan received an emergency intervention from expert John Aiken after their lack of intimacy became too much for Cassandra to cope with.

Cassandra revealed she had begun to feel like "just a friend" to Tristan and not a wife, leading Tristan to admit that he wanted more intimacy but found the process "nerve-wracking."

John then advised the pair to practice rituals of connection, such as going for walks and making coffee together, in order for Tristan to become comfortable with touching.

"I really need to learn how to shut up and listen," Tristan said, reassuring his other half that he wants to engage in more intimacy.

"Hopefully John has put us back on the husband and wife course," Cassandra added. Will this be a fresh start for the couple?
