Madonna and Guy Ritchie's infamous movie Swept Away has been added to Netflix UK.

The 2002 movie, itself a remake of a 1974 Italian film, became a huge flop when it was released over two decades ago.

Alongside a slating from critics – it stands at just 5% on Rotten Tomatoes – Swept Away also made just over $1 million at the global box office, on a budget of $10 million.

However, Netflix has added the movie to its site, meaning fans can relive it all again (or give it a first watch).

Swept Away follows a wealthy American socialite who makes life miserable for an Italian deckhand on a yacht trip, though their power dynamic switches when they are stranded on a deserted island together.

Ritchie wrote and directed the movie, which was released during his and Madonna's eight-year marriage in the 2000s.

In other news, Madonna recently endured a health scare as she was rushed to intensive care after suffering from a bacterial infection.

The news meant the singer was forced to postpone some of the dates from her upcoming 40th anniversary tour, which was due to kick off in July in Vancouver.

Speaking in July about her illness, Madonna said: "When the chips were down my children really showed up for me. I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference. So did the love and support from my friends…

"I realized how lucky I am to be alive. And how fortunate I am to have known these people and so many others who are also gone."

Swept Away is available to stream now on Netflix UK.
