Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade 2023: When does it start and how to watch/livestream

Gaint balloons, marching bands, Broadway musicals and much more are in store for this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and there is some Southern talent leading the way and performing this year.

Alabama A&M marching band is leading the way for the 2023 parade. One of 107 Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the U.S., around 256 students of the Marching Maroon and White will open up the 97th annual parade on Thursday morning. And they aren't the only group performing with routes in the South.

Performers from Tennessee or Tennessee roots are filling out the line-up of who's who on floats this year.

Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors

Drew Holcomb and his band The Neighbors bring a bit Memphis and East Nashville to the Igniting Memories float this year.

Alex Smith: From Lousiana to Music City

Alex Smith will be representing his home state of Louisiana on the Celebration Gator from Louisiana Office of Tourism at the parade this year, but his music style will bring a bit of Nashville to the stage as well.

His fellow Bayou State native and the Queen of Cajun Country Amanda Shaw will be on the float too.

When is the 2023 Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade?

Many other performers will hit the New York streets of 77th Street and Central Park West on Thursday, Nov. 23, early Thanksgiving morning.

Where can I watch the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade?

The parade is set to start at 8:30 a.m. ET and end by 12:00 p.m. ET, according to Reviewed by USA Today.

The parade will be broadcast live on NBC and can also be streamed on Peacock the day of.
