Bargain hunters looking for new threads, home needs or beauty products can check out the new Nordstrom Rack in Macedonia, which opened Thursday.

The 28,000 square foot store on East Aurora Road offers customers up to 70% off apparel, accessories and shoes, said Manuela Uscher, public relations coordinator for Nordstrom. The store is in the Macedonia Gateway shopping complex.

"We get new deliveries every week, so customers can find new and exciting products every time they visit Nordstrom Rack with 90% of the same brands available at Nordstrom," Uscher said.

Macedonia Mayor Nick Molnar said a neighboring store's changing space needs created the opportunity for Nordstrom Rack to move in and two other stores to get facelifts.

"Burlington downsized, which allowed for TJ Maxx, Sephora and Rack to come in with extensive renovations to the facility," Molnar said. "I am excited to have some better options for shopping and from what I hear in the community, they are too."

Uscher said the Macedonia Gateway location is the company's 10th store in Ohio. Other locations include a store in Crocker Park in Westlake and Beachwood Place in Beachwood, Legacy Village in Lyndhurst, plus stores in the Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati areas.
