Luxury SC lakefront house sells for $4.4 million. Here’s what the buyers got for their money
A 5,460-square-foot house in a gated community beside Lake Keowee has sold for $4.4 million.
Located at 386 Peninsula Ridge in the Reserve at Lake Keowee, the 5-year-old house sits on 1.35 acres with 503 feet of waterfront.
It includes four bedrooms, six bathrooms and has water views from every room.
Lisa Vogel with Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty, Clemson office represented the buyer and the seller in the deal.
“I’ve loved Lake Keowee since discovering it in 2000,” Vogel said in a news release. “This is where I live and this is where I work. It gives me insights that other real estate professionals don’t always have.”
The house includes an entryway of herringbone antique hardwood floors and antique French stone and beams in the great room, which has oversized windows and transoms overlooking the lake.
There are two master suites, a marble master bath with built-in cabinets and wardrobe armoire and access to a laundry room off the master closet.
A screened porch includes a 30” cast iron EVO Grill, hood, stainless steel cabinetry and Bromic heater. A second covered porch has cedar beams and an oversized wood burning fireplace.
A rec room is located on the terrace level as is a bedroom, additional laundry and a media room.
A kitchen, bedroom and office are above the three-car garage.
A deep-water dock includes a lift and sitting area.
The sale price of $4.4 million is a new high for the Clemson office this year, said Joan Herlong, founder and CEO of the Herlong firm.
Vogel “is one of our leading experts on the lakes region of South Carolina. This is an amazing deal for her,” Herlong said.
Vogel has sold $16.5 million in real estate so far this year, the firm said. She has sold three houses and three lots.
