Following an upset of 1-seed Tennessee, LSU softball (40-14) is in the semifinals for the first time in seven years, taking on fifth-seeded Missouri (42-14) on Friday afternoon.
LSU survived the Volunteers in a rain-delayed contest on Thursday evening. Mizzou started its game against Arkansas, but that was suspended due to lightning and finished on Friday morning.
The two teams met in Columbia in late March, with Missouri taking two of three. The battle of the Tigers will resume on Friday.
