LSU baseball live score updates vs Auburn: Can Tigers win back-to-back SEC series?

Can LSU baseball get hot?

For the team's postseason aspirations, it has no choice as LSU (26-16, 5-13 SEC) is not currently projected to make the NCAA Tournament field with one month remaining before Selection Monday. And LSU is still not currently in line to make the SEC Tournament field, sitting at No. 13 in the conference.

The Tigers are fresh off winning their first SEC series of the season at Missouri, after dropping the first five. They need to keep it going against the worst team in the league in Auburn (20-20, 2-16 SEC), who LSU hosts for a three-game set this weekend at Alex Box Stadium starting Friday (6:30 p.m. CT, SEC Network+).

LSU followed that up by beating a good Nicholls team, 9-0, Tuesday night, a game Jay Johnson reveled in seeing the bullpen pitch five shutout innings while the offense supplied plenty of power with star Tommy White cranking two home runs.

Auburn has struggled to get anything going all season long and are now the only SEC baseball team that hasn't won a conference series this season with a record at an abysmal 2-16. Its woes get worse in SEC play on the road as Auburn hasn't won a road game in the league, right now sitting at 0-9.
