Red, White & Royal Blue is clearly a hit with audiences, both devoted fans of Casey McQuiston's 2019 best-selling novel and viewers of the new Prime Video movie. According to People, the new film became one of the "top three most-watched romantic comedies (movies) of all time" and caused a "huge surge of new Prime membership signups directly correlated to the film's release." Once you've read the book and watched the movie, you're going to be looking for more books similar to Red, White & Royal Blue.

While nothing is quite like McQuiston's story of Alex Claremont-Diaz, son of the first female president of the U.S., and his relationship with Prince Henry, we found 16 novels that capture some of the magic. Meghan Quinn is known for her (very) steamy romances, and this enemies-t0-lovers story is no exception. Through an unexpected set of circumstances, Lilly finds out that she is the heir to the throne of a tiny country in the British Isles and decides to uproot her life and try out the royal life. Keller Fitzwilliam has been tapped to train her to be queen, and the two must find a way to get along so they can work together. The sequel, Royally in Trouble, is out now.

American Bex Porter heads to Oxford for school and ends up falling in love with the heir to the British throne. The two have a rocky journey to finding happiness in this story that brings to mind a certain real-life royal couple. Follow it up with the sequel, The Heir Affair.

Tokyo Ever After

Izumi Tanaka's Northern California life is uprooted when she realizes that her father is the crowned prince of Japan, making her a princess. She must find a way to grapple with the media, her newfound family members, and a grumpy bodyguard. The YA novel's sequel, Tokyo Dreaming, is out now.
