Love Island star calls out 'hot mess' cast entrance photos

Former Love Island star Abigail Rawlings has dished on the villa secrets, revealing the truth behind the photoshoot prior to her entrance.

The tattoo artist took part in the seventh season of the dating contest in 2021, entering as a bombshell and coupling up with Toby Aromolara.

In an interview with OK! magazine, Abi opened up on having waited in a holding villa for more than three weeks to the point she almost wanted to go home.

"I was never that desperate to go on Love Island," she shared.

"It was always something that felt like something fun to do, but I wasn't someone who'd always dreamed of going on the show. As a result, when I was told that I'd be entering the villa as the first bombshell I was over the moon."

She continued: "As I'd been waiting for so long, it was suggested that I enter during Casa Amor. I said that I'd rather go home than continue to wait, so I started looking at flights back home until my chaperone told me I was entering the villa that day."

Prior to her 3am entrance, Abi was told to take some pictures inside a shipping container.

"I was taken to a room inside a shipping container where a photographer said that they were going to take some photos," she said.

"I changed into a bikini, did my best to touch up my hair and makeup and the photo was taken," she added, recalling she was asked to do some poses, including a love heart with her hands.

"In less than 10 minutes, it was over and I put my clothes back on. It was a hot, sweaty mess and wasn't very enjoyable at all."

She also complained that the images were overly edited, saying: "The saturation was so high that my eyes looked bright blue and my skin looked orange."

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
