The winning couple will be crowned Love Island's global champions, with details on the cast and location of the villa to be confirmed closer to release (via Deadline).

The format looks to be a cross between traditional Love Island and MTV's The Challenge, the latter of which pairs up reality stars for a series of gruelling physical and mental challenges.

The Love Island Games will directly following the fifth season of Love Island USA this summer as well as both the UK and Australian seasons on the way.

No details have been confirmed yet for when or if The Love Island Games will be streaming on the UK version of Peacock, since it only has a limited selection of the US content.
