The Love Island villa gates haven't closed up yet, as the show will return for a special bonus episode later this week.

After crowning Kai and Sanam as the winners of the Winter 2023 series, host Maya Jama is preparing for one final bombshell. Notorious playboy Chabuddy G will drop in for Red Nose Day on Friday (March 17).

The character played by Asim Chaudhry in the classic sitcom People Just Do Nothing will be visiting Maya to raise money for Comic Relief in this mini-episode.

"Love Island, you thought it was over. It's not mate," Chabuddy G announces in a behind-the-scenes video. "There's one more bombshell that's about to enter the villa: It's me, darling!"

Chabuddy G also offered some hints about who he'll be looking for in the villa — or, at least, his type on paper.

"My type on paper is a kind, sweet, caring and beautiful girl. My type off paper is aunties aged 45+, especially the Karen types, I love a bossy woman," he quipped.

There's no doubt that Chabuddy G would have shaken up the final voting if he'd arrived a few days earlier, but we have no doubt he will be sending temperatures soaring in this crossover appeal.

Friday's charity telethon will be one of its most star-studded yet, as Kylie Minogue joins the cast of Ghosts for a special episode and Sir Lenny Henry meets David Tennant's Doctor Who. A celebrity version of The Traitors has also been lined up.

The live BBC One appeal will feature Tennant and Henry joined by an all-star lineup of presenters — including Zoe Ball, Paddy McGuinness, AJ Odudu and Joel Dommett — to play games and introduce live performances to raise cash for Comic Relief.

If you'd like to donate to Comic Relief now or this Friday night, you can check out their website or text 'HELP' to 70205 to donate £5, 70210 to donate £10, 70220 to donate £20 or 70230 to donate £30.

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 and is available via catch-up on ITVX and BritBox.
