‘Love Is Blind’ Heads to Charlotte For Its Season 6 Experiment
IT MIGHT BE hard to believe, but Netflix’s Love Is Blind is still going strong and is gearing up to drop the sixth season this month. Hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey (who also lead The Ultimatum), the reality series has gathered a group of singles from Charlotte, North Carolina to participate in the truly unique experiment.
For those unfamiliar with the show, the men and women chat with each other in connected pod rooms, where they can only hear the other person’s voice. By removing the aspect of judging based on physical looks, the contestants aim to find love through deeper conversations. And then, they do the unthinkable: get engaged without ever seeing the other person.
After the proposal, the happy couples then get to meet in person and spend time in the real world to determine if they are still right for each other. They also get to meet the other contestants that they might have rejected in the pods, which raises the question if feelings still exist — or are even stronger due to experiencing the superficial attraction. Will these outside factors tear the fiancees apart? Or will they make it to the altar to both say “I do?”

Alejandra, 28
Alejandra is a financial consultant who was previously single by choice. Now, she’s hoping to find someone who matches her same level of success, with her ideal type being a “very strong, confident, and a natural born leader.”

Hailing from the business world as a senior client partner, Brittany has been left disappointed by Charlotte’s dating pool. She won’t settle for anything less and upholds her Christian values.
Mackenzie, 25
Makeup artist Mackenzie used to play basketball in high school and her height has led her to be “picky” when it comes to love. She hopes to find an “extremely caring and empathetic” man in the pods.
Amy C, 34
PR director Amy C has had a long-term relationship in the past and just wants to have a partner who is her “best friend,” while also pushing each other to improve. Oh, and she loves trying new foods — so that might be a dealbreaker.
Sarah Ann, 30
Sarah Ann is a customer support manager and has never entered the world of dating apps. Her dating plans include trying to be less independent and set on her ways. She is looking for someone who is “thoughtful, funny, [and] extremely playful.”
Danette, 33

Laura is an account director hoping for some “real men” this season. She takes cleaning very seriously but also loves going to a music festival to have some fun and let loose.

Jessica feels most miss out on her “really funny and goofy” personality, which she has used while raising her 10-year-old. She is an executive assistant seeking the “right person” to take them as a “package deal.”
Chelsea, 31
Both a flight attendant and an event planner, Chelsea wants to maintain her level of “independence” in a relationship — so the right person would need to be willing to travel outside their comfort zone and go on adventures. She hates smokers and lazy men who sit at home.

Matthew is a senior financial advisor who described himself as being “emotionally guarded” in the past. However, he is letting his walls down and hoping to find someone as “driven” as he is on the show.
