Kellyanne Conway’s daughter Claudia talks about living with politically involved parents in ‘American Idol’ audition: ‘It’s a lot’

Claudia Conway doesn’t want her parents’ careers to define her.

In a new video teasing her audition for “American Idol,” the teenage daughter of former White House advisor Kellyanne Conway acknowledged the weight of living with a politically involved family — but she also said it’s time for the nation to learn who she really is.

“So you probably know me as ’15-year-old emancipation girl’ or ‘that blonde woman from Fox News’ daughter’... I’m a little more than that,” she said in a home video published Friday by People.

The audition clip, which was recorded last year, shows the aspiring singer introducing herself to judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. The full video is set to air Sunday, when the competition’s latest season premieres on ABC.

Claudia, who’s now 16, is best known for her constant presence on TikTok, where she has more than 1.7 million followers. Many of her videos show the New Jersey teen candidly talking about her parents and their contrasting political stances.

“My mother is Kellyanne Conway. She worked for Donald Trump,” she told the “America Idol” judges in the latest clip.

“And my dad is George Conway. He’s a lawyer. He worked against Donald Trump,” she said. “It’s a lot, but I agree to disagree with my mom and my dad.”

The family made headlines last month after a topless photo of Claudia briefly appeared on her mother’s Twitter account. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in New Jersey is investigating the incident, but the teen believes her mother’s page was hacked.

But that was just the latest controversy involving the Conways. Claudia has previously accused Kellyanne Conway of being abusive and once announced on social media that she was “pushing for emancipation.”

“The internet can be a very, very dark place,” Claudia told the “American Idol” panel. “But when life is all going down hill, I have my music. Now, I want to get out of the controversy, get out of the drama and let people know that I am a singer and this is what I want to do.”
