Los Alamos Summer Concert Series announces 2024 lineup

May 7—The Los Alamos Summer Concert Series has announced its lineup, featuring everything from bluegrass to cumbia to tribute bands.

Running from late May through August, the series features free concerts at Ashley Pond Park. On scheduled Friday evenings, local and regional musical acts in a variety of genres will take the stage every Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., while attendees can mingle, sing along and enjoy the show, while taking in the atmosphere of downtown Los Alamos.

"For those visiting Los Alamos for the first time due to their love of the film 'Oppenheimer,' there's much more to our town than meets the eye," said Ellyn Felton, Los Alamos County marketing specialist. "This summer, after you visit our museums and three national parks to learn more about our history and the Manhattan Project, stick around for live entertainment. If you live in a nearby city, come up for a free Friday night concert and spend the weekend getting back to nature or learning about local history."

The Los Alamos Summer Concert Series lineup includes:

May 24 — The Powell Brothers

May 31 — The Foggy Memory Boys

June 7 — Those Crazy Nights: A Tribute to Journey.

June 14 — Nathaniel Krantz
