Tonight, NFL dreams will come true as players hear their names called in this year’s draft. 10 years ago, superstar quarterback Russell Wilson was one of these players.
When Wilson was selected by the Seattle Seahawks with a third-round pick in the 2012 draft, it was obviously a joyous occasion for him and his family.
But, a photo of this moment has become somewhat of a meme around the NFL world.
Said photo of Wilson and his now ex-wife Ashton Meem is going viral on Twitter ahead of tonight’s draft.

Wilson and Meem, who met at St. Catherine High School as teenagers, tied the knot just months before the 2012 draft. After two years of marriage, the couple filed for divorce in 2014.
Wilson is now married to American singer Ciara.
After 10 seasons with the Seahawks, Wilson will suit up as QB1 for the Denver Broncos in 2022.
