Look: Pat McAfee trolls Pete Thamel on ESPN's 'College GameDay' ahead of 2024 NFL Draft

ESPN "College GameDay" reporter Pete Thamel shared a funny moment with fellow show host Pat McAfee at the NFL draft on Thursday night.

The NFL draft is likely one of the worst times for Thamel to come down with a scratchy throat, which elicited an amusing exchange from McAfee, the host of the "Pat McAfee Show."

"Pete, you're not supposed to inhale cigars," McAfee said live on ESPN. "You just puff those, Pete. You're supposed to puff those."

Thamel, alongside NFL insider Adam Schefter, was reporting on quarterbacks Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels being projected to go first and second overall, respectively, in the 2024 NFL Draft, sounding scratchy throughout the segment.

McAfee made the joke from the "GameDay" desk alongside Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit and newcomer Nick Saban, the former Alabama coach making his debut with the network.
