UConn superstar Paige Bueckers has officially made women’s college basketball history.

Bueckers surpassed one million followers on Instagram this week. She’s the first women’s college basketball player to ever do so.

The UConn star has certainly lived up to the hype so far during her collegiate career. She led the Huskies to the national championship in this year’s NCAA Touranment before falling to South Carolina in the title game. Her reputation and personal following has skyrocketed.

If you’re a basketball fan you know who Paige Bueckers is by now.

The scary thing about Paige Bueckers is she can only get better.

She averaged 20.0 points, 5.7 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game her freshman year. That came on 52.4 percent shooting and 46.4 percent from three. Those numbers all dipped a bit this last season as Bueckers battled injuries. The UConn star scored 14.6 points per game on 54.4 percent shooting overall and 35.5 percent from three during the 2021-22 campaign.

Bueckers is capable of becoming one of UConn’s all-time greats. But it’s now or never.

She’s made a name for herself. She has a massive social-media following. Now it’s time to get the hardware to back up her reputation.

UConn will be one of the favorites to win the national championship next season. Bueckers will be tasked with leading the way. Can she, once again, live up to the hype?
