The 2022 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue is set to be released later this spring.

Last year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue had a bit of an NFL feel. Former NFL cheerleader Summer Wilson was among those who made their inaugural debut in the issue.

Wilson, who cheered for the Baltimore Ravens, was among those making her debut in the iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.

“I am not a professional model, I work in corporate America so it was just a huge experience to me,” Wilson told WJZ. “It’s just next level, holy crap feeling, you know?”

Wilson was photographed by Yu Tsai in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She was among several notable first-timers in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.

Perhaps the 2022 edition of the iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue will feature some more NFL or NFL-adjacent figures.

Wilson was a finalist for the issue through SI Swim Search.

“So started to post online, posting on Instagram a lot so anyone that follows me is probably like, ‘This chick needs to chill,’” Wilson added. “But I knew that in order to get noticed by such an enormous band, for so many men and women who want to go for this dream, I had to make myself stand out.”

The 2022 edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue will come out later this spring.
