Charlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington appears to have addressed the ridiculous child support rumor that went viral on social media earlier this week.

Earlier this week, a rumor surfaced on Twitter, suggesting Washington owed his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Renner, $200,000/month in child support.

Washington, the No. 12 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, signed a four-year, $12,070,560 contract with the Hornets after getting drafted.

The young NBA forward appeared to address the rumor on social media earlier this week. He denied that it is true.

Renner has yet to comment on the rumor. The couple has reportedly broken up and any link to Washington has been scrubbed from her social media accounts, per Complex.

“For what it’s worth, Renner has yet to comment on their breakup or the rumors regarding child support payments. All posts featuring Washington have since been scrubbed from her Instagram account,” Complex writes.

Renner, a model with more than 4 million followers on Instagram, is rumored to have split with Washington sometime this year.

Washington, 22, averaged 12.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the Hornets last season. He was the 12th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Kentucky.
