Three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth had great news to share with his Twitter followers this Wednesday. After spending three weeks on the sidelines, he has been cleared to start working in his yard again.

Schlereth has been out the past few weeks because he needed time to recover from heart surgery.

“I’m back at work and I just wanted to say, ‘Thank you, Lord Jesus, for giving me the opportunity to be out here working, man.’ It doesn’t go unnoticed,” Schlereth said in a video he shared on Twitter. “I am blessed. Anyhow, I just wanted to give you guys an update and a little intentional gratitude.”

Though he may not be at full strength just yet, Schlereth sounds very pleased with his progress – and rightfully so.

The sports world is thrilled to hear that Schlereth has been cleared to start working again.

“Glad you are doing your thang again my brother,” Freddie Coleman of ESPN Radio tweeted at Schlereth.

“Amen my brother,” Jason Roman of Sports Spectrum said. “God is good. So glad you’re on the mend and healing well.”

“You’ll have the yard back in shape in no time,” Pete Martini tweeted. “Hope the recovery continues to go well.”

We’re certainly hoping that Schlereth returns to 100 percent as soon as possible.
