Look: Mac Jones’ Girlfriend Shares Heartfelt Message

Mac Jones’ 23rd birthday was probably a pretty good one.

The New England Patriots rookie quarterback celebrated his birthday on Sunday. The former Alabama Crimson Tide standout is a week away from making his first NFL start.

Earlier this week, the Patriots decided to release veteran quarterback Cam Newton, paving the way for Jones to start behind center.

ESPN NFL Draft analyst Todd McShay is extremely high on Jones.

“To get a starting quarterback at 15, you rarely get that,” McShay told ESPN. “It was only one year (as a starter) instead of two years (like Burrow), and he’s not as mobile as Joe, but it’s the same kind of pocket presence and ability to feel where the rush is coming from. And the accuracy and toughness — mental and physical. He’s a special cat, he really is.”

It’s not all football for Jones at the moment, though.

On Sunday, he was able to celebrate his birthday with his girlfriend, Sophie Scott.

“Happy birthday to this amazing guy,” she wrote on Instagram.

It’s good to be Mac Jones these days.

New England will open the 2021 regular season on Sunday, Sept. 12 against the Miami Dolphins.
