Keith Olbermann has had a long and sometimes contentious relationship with ESPN. But when he heard that Sage Steele is suing his former employer, he was quick to react.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Olbermann offered to help the Worldwide Leader in Sports in any way he can. Calling out ESPN’s management, he pointed to a few holes in the complaint Steele made against them.

“Mark my words carefully: HOW CAN I HELP ESPN MANAGEMENT HERE?” Olbermann wrote.

In a follow-up tweet, Olbermann pointed to one instance where Steele accuses ESPN of “selective enforcement of network policy,” giving an example of where he was made to delete a Tweet the company didn’t agree with. The three-time Edward R. Murrow award winner clearly doesn’t believe Steele was treated unfairly.

Whether or not ESPN or parent-company Disney opts to take any of Keith Olbermann’s advice remains to be seen. The network has made it clear through the years that they’re not fans of the way he conducts himself.

Lest we forget, Olbermann was suspended from ESPN in 2015 for ripping Penn State. Olbermann later apologized, and after being let go a few months later, returned in 2018.

ESPN can probably handle itself where Sage Steele is concerned. Though it would be pretty funny if a mutual distaste for Steele mended the relationship between ESPN and Olbermann.

Will ESPN call on Keith Olbermann for any advice in the upcoming lawsuit?
